Maerica Server

2025

  • Built home server infrastructure for personal projects and services across Windows, Linux (Debian and Arch), and macOS.
  • Host game and media servers, websites, and self-hosted build agents in Docker.
  • Central OpenID Connect (OIDC) provider, event ingest, and analytics for all services.
  • Built AI automation for daily and weekly operations.
  • Use AI-assisted workflows to design and propose new infrastructure features.

World of Warcraft Classic Guild Leadership

2019 – 2021

  • For two years during World of Warcraft Classic, led 40-player guild raids and organized weekly events, including encounter preparation, role assignments, and live coordination.
  • Achieved realm-fastest raid clear times in BWL, AQ, and Naxx.
  • Analyzed Warcraft Logs for the full guild roster and shared feedback to improve builds, rotations, and encounter execution.
  • Built WoW addons to organize and prep for guild speed runs.
  • Served as Warrior class lead, giving build, gearing, and encounter-specific feedback to improve raid performance.

Ice Maze

2015 – 2017

  • Built a puzzle game prototype where players cross ice to reach the end of each level while avoiding black ice that makes them lose control.
  • Built on a personal C++ game engine with DirectX; Ice Maze drove new engine features as they were added.

Nachzehrer

2017 – 2017

  • Solo-developed a short single-player horror game set in a power plant at night, built around a light-and-darkness mechanic.
  • Uploaded to Steam in December 2017 but never released publicly.

2014 – 2017

  • Built a rendering abstraction over OpenGL and DirectX, Qt tooling, and a Unity-like component system.

Into the Dark

2012 – 2013

  • My first computer game: a 2D hack-and-slash built in JavaScript with Raphaël for graphics, AI, collision, triggers, and animation.
  • Limited player vision to line of sight, unlike typical top-down 2D games.

Mechmania (24-Hour Game AI Hackathon)

2014 – 2016

  • Designed competitive AI game scenarios and built multiplayer test-match tooling for competitors.

PDF Clearance

2010 – 2013

  • Built a Java tool to detect malicious PDFs via syntactic analysis instead of deterministic binary analysis, derived from high school security research.
  • Identified common syntax patterns across malicious and benign PDF corpora and encoded them as detection rules.
  • Recognized by the Intel Science Talent Search, Siemens Competition, Intel Excellence in Computer Science, and Silicon Valley Engineering Council from 2010 to 2013.

Simplicity

2015 – 2016

  • Built a Pebble watch face focused on readable at-a-glance info: battery and charging status, Bluetooth connection, time, and date.
  • Respects system 12- or 24-hour time preference.
